Denis Ivanov, Chairman of the Board of the International Bank for Economic Co-operation, was awarded a state award of the Russian Federation – a Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", II degree. The award ceremony was held at the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the award was presented by Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Timur Maksimov. As stated in the Presidential Decree No. 529, the Chairman of the IBEC Board was awarded “for his great contribution to the development of the financial and banking system of the Russian Federation and attraction of investments to the Russian economy”.
Denis Ivanov, in his speech after the presentation of the award, thanked the leadership of the Russian Federation for the high assessment of his work in the system of international financial organizations – International Investment Bank and International Bank for Economic Co-operation, noted the support invariably provided by Russia, primarily by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the process reforming and restarting IIB first, and now also IBEC, their transformation into modern and effective multilateral development institutions.
“Accepting this honorary award of the Russian Federation, I want to thank my colleagues in IIB and IBEC, members of the governing bodies and delegations of the participating countries for the great creative work that we have all done over the past years. The renewed IIB and IBEC have found their place in the system of international financial organizations and effectively contribute to the solution of important social and economic problems in the territories of their presence”, – said the Chairman of the IBEC Board.
