International Bank for Economic Co-operation has provided funding of € 15.18 million to the Polish company Laude Smart Intermodal to finance the purchase of innovative intermodal freight railway containers and platforms of Russian and Belarusian production. The Chairman of the IBEC Board Denis Ivanov and the General Director of the Polish company Mr. Marcin Witczak signed the loan agreement and the surety agreement on August 27 at the IBEC headquarters. This is the first transaction to finance a Polish company in the new history of the Bank, as well as one of the most long-term projects in the current IBEC portfolio. The Agreement is signed for up to 7 years.

International Bank for Economic Co-operation participates in implementation of NICA, a unique international scientific project at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna. NICA (Nuclotron based Ion Collider fAcility) is a new accelerator complex designed at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna, Russia) for the purpose of studying properties of dense baryonic matter.

A representative delegation of IBEC headed by the Chairman of the Board Denis Ivanov and a Member of the Board from Bulgaria Boyko Kotzev visited the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia, in mid-June.

A substantive dialogue with the leaders of the economic bloc of the Bulgarian government continued in the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Bulgaria. IBEC head, Denis Ivanov, informed the Minister, Mr. Vladislav Goranov, and the head of the Bulgarian delegation in the IBEC Council, Ms. Marinella Petrova, about the Bank’s transformation program and the positive dynamics of business indicators. The results of the May Council Meeting in Moscow, where the Council approved the new course of IBEC development, were also highlighted.
