International Bank for Economic Co-operation participates in implementation of NICA, a unique international scientific project at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna. NICA (Nuclotron based Ion Collider fAcility) is a new accelerator complex designed at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna, Russia) for the purpose of studying properties of dense baryonic matter.
International Bank for Economic Co-operation (IBEC) has issued advance payment guarantee under an equipment delivery contract. The transaction has been implemented according to the agreement signed on the sidelines of the first IBEC business forum ‘Europe-CUS.4D’ in May this year between IBEC and the Polish company Frako-Term.
Upon NICA collider commissioning JINR scientists will be able to reconstruct in laboratory Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP), a special state of matter which existed only at the early stages of our Universe upon the Big Bang. The project started in 2013 and next year, in 2020 it is planned to be fully operational.
