On 19–21 September, 2018 IBEC delegation headed by the Chairman of the Board Denis Ivanov visited the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Within the framework of the working visit, a number of meetings with core Vietnamese partner banks and companies were held.

On September 13, 2018 in Varna (Republic of Bulgaria), the «Summit of 10 countries» — shareholders of the International Investment Bank (IIB) and the International Bank for Economic Cooperation (IBEC) took place. The event sort of became symbolic in the newest history of both financial institutions: the shareholder countries had not met in such a format for over 10 years.

On 18 September, 2018 the International Bank for Economic Co-operation (IBEC) and the Polish-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Warsaw signed an agency agreement. The event was attended by Chamber President Hanna Wielgosz Velgos, IBEC Chairman Denis Ivanov and IBEC Board member Lidia Anchakovska.

From August 30, 2018 to September 7, 2018 at the headquarters of the International Bank for Economic Co-operation (the IBEC) and the International Investment Bank (the IIB), the IBEC and IIB top officials welcomed representatives of the largest banks of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The range of meetings included both public and private sector banking institutions of Vietnam: the negotiations were conducted with representatives of the State Bank of Vietnam, Vietcombank, Agribank and the Saigon-Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank.
