Fitch Ratings Affirms IBEC’s Investment Grade Rating

On 16 March 2018 Fitch Ratings international credit rating agency affirmed previously assigned investment-grade ratings for the International Bank for Economic Co-operation, namely: long-term BBB-, with a stable outlook, and short-term F3.

In its official press-release Fitch Ratings highlighted such positive factors as the bank’s high capitalization and a considerable liquidity position. Fitch Ratings specially emphasized the bank’s ongoing efforts to improve its risk management system, in particular, implementation of approaches to assessment of potential loan losses based on international standards. Besides, a downward trend of risk concentration was noted, as supported by planned loan portfolio growth.
