IBEC opens a credit line for leasing Russian aircraft

International Bank for Economic Co-operation will provide financing to the Russian State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) in the amount of 1.5 billion rubles. This agreement was signed by Mikhail Poluboyarinov, CEO of GTLK, and Denis Ivanov, Chairman of the IBEC Management Board.

The funds provided by IBEC will be used to purchase Russian-made civil aviation equipment – localized Czech L-410 aircraft and Ansat and Mi-8 helicopters. Since 2016, GTLK has been implementing programs with state co-financing for the development of aircraft leasing. Thanks to their implementation, the import substitution of obsolete foreign equipment takes place and the market for Russian aircraft manufacturers is expanding.

“We are glad to expand cooperation with the authoritative international financial institution represented by IBEC. The concluded agreement will allow us to attract additional off-budget investments for the renovation and modernization of the air fleet in Russia”, - said Mikhail Poluboyarinov, GTLK CEO.

The Chairman of the IBEC Board Denis Ivanov noted that "the agreement concluded fully complies with the goals and objectives of the Bank as a development institution, including the implementation of government programs to support high-tech industries and national transport infrastructure."
