A substantive dialogue with the leaders of the economic bloc of the Bulgarian government continued in the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Bulgaria. IBEC head, Denis Ivanov, informed the Minister, Mr. Vladislav Goranov, and the head of the Bulgarian delegation in the IBEC Council, Ms. Marinella Petrova, about the Bank's transformation program and the positive dynamics of business indicators. The results of the May Council Meeting in Moscow, where the Council approved the new course of IBEC development, were also highlighted.
The parties also discussed the prospects for increasing the Bank’s business volumes through expanding the foreign trade potential of local companies. The Minister of Finance noted the strategic importance of the Bank’s work supporting Bulgarian exports and close cooperation with Development Bank of Bulgaria.
During the meeting, both current projects and new directions for realizing the potential of IBEC in the Bulgarian market were discussed. Mr. Goranov expressed readiness of the Bulgarian Government to support the development of IBEC operations, noting that in cooperation with the national development institutions, IBEC efforts could cause a synergistic effect both for the Bulgarian business and for the entire region of the Bank’s presence.
The head of the Bulgarian delegation to the IBEC Council, Ms. Marinela Petrova, stressed the importance of intensifying business processes in the Bank and the need to maintain a steady growth in operations, which is fully supported in member countries. During the negotiations participants also covered the issues of preparation for the next Council meeting, which is scheduled for December 2019.
