By invitation of the Romanian party, the delegation of the International Bank for Economic Co-operation took part in the meeting that was held in Bucharest on 26 January 2016 between the Romanian business representatives and development finance institutions operating in the territory of the country.
The meeting was arranged by the Romanian Association of Exporters (AREX) under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Finance and the Ministry of Economy of Romania.
During the meeting, the great interest to work with the IBEC in the Romanian market was shown by representatives of large and medium-sized businesses of Romania.
On the sidelines of the meeting negotiations were held with a number of leading Romanian manufacturing companies of chemical, construction, and agro-industrial sectors of economy where the projects were discussed, which according to their parameters correspond to the Bank’s 2016-2010 Business Development Strategy adopted at the 126th meeting of the IBEC’s Council. During the negotiations, agreements were reached on participation of the IBEC in financing of the most interesting projects.
