About The Meeting Of The IBEC With Romanian Business Representatives

By invitation of the Romanian party, the delegation of the International Bank for Economic Co-operation headed by Mr. E. Hentes, IBEC’s Board Member, took part in the meeting with Romanian business representatives and development finance institutions, which was held under the title of “Business Financing Opportunities in Romania” in Cluj-Napoca (Northern Transylvania, Romania) on 24 February 2016.

The meeting was arranged under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Finance of Romania, the Ministry of Economy of Romania, the regional administration and the Romanian Association of Exporters (AREX) and continued the event held in Bucharest in January, 2016.

About 80 representatives of the Romanian business community took part in the meeting. Mr. E. Hentes presented new possibilities of the IBEC becoming available as part of the Bank’s 2016-2020 Development Strategy adopted at the 126 meeting of the IBEC’s Council.

Romanian business representatives and development finance institutions took a great interest in cooperation with the IBEC in such directions as trade financing, lending, arrangement and implementation of joint projects in and for purposes of IBEC’s member countries.
