IBEC hosted the honorable Slovak guests

On 14 March 2017, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the International Bank for Economic Co-Operation between the IBEC’s Board headed by I.V. Golovchenko, Chairman of the Board, and the representative delegation of the Slovak Republic headed by Mr. Lukas Parizek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic. The Slovak delegation was also composed of Dana Meager, Head of the Delegation of the Slovak Republic in the IBEC’s Council, State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic, Peter Priputen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Russian Federation, and other public officials.

I.V. Golovchenko has noted in her greeting that the support given by Slovakia to the IBEC development and the practical interest in extension of cooperation are of great importance to the Bank.

The official representatives of Slovakia expressed their interest in the development of the IBEC’s banking business focused on its member countries. Mr. Lukas Parizek welcomed the information about the IBEC’s activities under potential lending projects in Slovakia. He expressed his hope that the opportunities for developing cooperation, including under the loan projects, will increase, and thanked the IBEC for the presentation before the Slovak entrepreneurs within the Slovak-Russian business forum held at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in the Russian Federation on 14 March 2017, which raised great interest among the representatives of the Slovak business.

Ms. Dana Meager expressed willingness from the standpoint of the Head of the Delegation of the Slovak Republic in the IBEC’s Council to give all-round support both to the Bank itself and the furtherance in resolving the issues related to support by the Bank of the projects in the Slovak Republic.

The meeting was held in a constructive manner, the participants assured each other of mutual understanding and intent to continue the discussion of the topics important for cooperation both at the level of the IBEC’s Council and in other formats.
