The delegation of the International Bank for Economic Co-Operation (IBEC) headed by Ms. Irina Golovchenko, IBEC’s Board Chairman, visited the Republic of Bulgaria on 28 and 29 September 2017.
As a part of the working visit, a meeting was held with Ms. Marinela Petrova, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Bulgaria and Head of the delegation of the Republic of Bulgaria in the IBEC’s Council. On-going work on implementation of the Bank’s strategy and preparation for the forthcoming 130th meeting of the IBEC’s Council were discussed during the meeting.
Within the scope of the planned program of the visit to the Republic of Bulgaria a meeting was held in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Bulgaria with Mr. Todor Tabakov, Member of the Executive Council, in the course of which the parties reached an agreement on extension of cooperation and preparation of the program for support to small and medium enterprises in Bulgaria.
The IBEC’s delegation also held a meeting with Mr. Botyo Velinov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bulgargaz company, and a number of construction and engineering companies. The parties discussed the opportunities of extending cooperation.
Following the established tradition, the IBEC’s delegation visited the University of National and World Economy of the Republic of Bulgaria, with which the Bank has signed and successfully implements a cooperation agreement on organization of teaching and learning process and conduct of internships of students. As a part of the visit, a meeting was held with Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Statty Stattev, Rector of the University.
