On the appointment of Denis Ivanov as a Chairman of the Board of International Bank for Economic Cooperation

International Bank for Economic Cooperation (IBEC) announces the appointment of Denis Ivanov as the Chairman of the Board.

Ivanov’s nomination was initiated by the Government of the Russian Federation and unanimously supported by shareholder countries of the bank.

Denis Ivanov was born in Moscow on June 2, 1974. He graduated with honors from the Faculty of International Relations and Diplomacy of Moscow State University for Foreign Affairs. Further Mr. Ivanov received an MBA Degree from Cass Business school (London) and a Diploma for professional development in the field of corporate finance from London Business School.

Prior to joining IBEC Denis Ivanov was the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the International Investment Bank (IIB), where he was in charge of various activities, including lending and investment operations. Ivanov started his career at the Russian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, worked in London for a long period, where among other positions, he headed a Representative Office of Vnesheconombank in the United Kingdom.

“This appointment is a huge honour and responsibility for me”, Ivanov said, “the goals and aims that specialised institutions for development face these days are extremely ambitious and complexed. I will do my utmost best for further dynamic evolvement of IBEC as a modern international financial institution that bases its activities in accordance with best practices of development banks worldwide”.
