Participation Of The International Bank For Economic Co-Operation (IBEC) In The Russian-Vietnamese Business Forum And The Opening Ceremony Of The Representative Office Of Joint Stock Bank For Investment And Development Of Vietnam (BIDV) In Russia

On 18 May 2016, during the official visit to the Russian Federation of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV), the Russian-Vietnamese Forum “Trade and Economic Cooperation of Vietnam and Russia: New Horizons” took place at the Hanoi-Moscow Trade Center, Moscow.

The Business Forum was attended by the heads of ministries and departments of Vietnam and Russia, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia, representatives of the financial and banking circles, chambers of commerce and industry and enterprises of two countries, and mass media.

During the Business Forum, the Memoranda of Cooperation were signed between TNT Group of Companies (Vietnam) and Herman & Smith (RF), as well as between Hung Vuong (Vietnam) and Russia Fish (RF) companies in the amount of USD 25 million and USD 15 million in the area of seafood export.

One of the key events of the Forum was the opening ceremony of the representative office of Joint Stock Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) in Moscow, one of the largest lending institutions of the country. Mr. Dmitry Skobelkin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Bank of Russia, handed the certificate of accreditation of BIDV’s representative office in Moscow to Mr. Phan Duc Tu, Executive Director of the Bank.

Representatives of the delegation of the International Bank for Economic Co-operation (IBEC) headed by Ms. Thinh Thi Hong, Member of the IBEC’s Board, who took part in the Business Forum, held a number of consultations and meetings with representatives of banks, financial companies and industrial enterprises of Vietnam.
