On the 28th of January 2016 in Sofia took place the XV-th session of the Inter-governmental Russian-Bulgarian commission for cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, science and technology, which was directed by the First deputy of the Minister of Jurisdiction of the Russian Federation, S. A. Gerasimov, the Minister of the Energetics of Bulgaria, T. Petkova and the Minister of the Economy of Bulgaria, B. Loukarski.
In the final minutes of the Inter-governmental Russian-Bulgarian Commission for Cooperation in the Areas of Economy, Trade, Science and Technology it was stated, that the International Bank for Economic Cooperation (IBEC) is specializing on the foreign-trade financing and execution of payment transactions on export-import operations of entities from Russian Federation and Bulgaria, including payments in national currencies.
The representative of the IBEC, I. A. Kolev took part in the work of the group on the development of the cooperation between Russian Federation and Bulgaria in the area of small and medium enterprises, and also met the Chairman of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce (BCCI) and Industry Ts. Simeonov.
As a result of the meeting, the IBEC was invited to intensify the work, related to the contribution for the development of the export-import operations and for the support of the small and medium enterprises with the Bulgarian companies, and also to assure the BCCI in the readiness of the Bank to provide support to the Chamber in its activity.
