Representatives of the International Bank for Economic Co-operation (IBEC) headed by I.V. Golovchenko, Chairman of the Board, visited Bulgaria from June 29 to July 2, 2015.
During this working visit a meeting with the Deputy Finance Minister, Head of the Bulgarian delegation in the Council of IBEC Ms. Karina Karaivanova was held. I.V. Golovchenko has informed about the measures undertaken in the Bank to improve its efficiency, the purpose of which is to expand economic cooperation with the countries - members of IBEC.
The IBEC delegation held talks with representatives of the Bulgarian Development Bank, headed by its chairman Mr. Angel Gekov. IBEC representatives also negotiated with the chairman of the board of directors of the company Bulgargaz Mr. Botyo Velinov and executive director Mr. Petyo Ivanov. During both meetings, the sides have discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation.
Besides, a meeting with the rector of the University of National and World Economy Professor Ph.D. Stati Statev took place. Taken into account common exposure to international markets and economy of the two organizations, the parties have discussed the possibility of cooperation, in particular, participation in scientific conferences, research, and the creation of a joint master's program.
