Working Visit of the IBEC’s Delegation to the Republic of Poland

The delegation of the International Bank for Economic Co-operation (“IBEC”) headed by Mrs. Irina Golovchenko, Chairman of the Board, made a working visit to the Republic of Poland on 13 and 14 June 2017.

As part of the business program, the Bank’s delegation hold a meeting with Mr. P. Novak, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Poland, and P. Samecki, Board Member of Polish National Bank, and certain responsible officers of Polish National Bank and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Poland.

During the meetings with the Poland governmental officials, the parties discussed IBEC’s strategic development, possibilities to broaden cooperation, forms of cooperation and agenda issues of the forthcoming 129 meeting of the IBEC’s Council to be chaired by the Republic of Poland.

Mrs. Irina Golovchenko, Chairman of the Board, told how the Bank’s strategy is being implemented to the extent of promotion of business relations between enterprises and organizations of the Bank’s member countries. The Bank expressed gratitude to the Republic of Poland ratification of the Protocols to amend the Agreement concerning the Organization and Activities of the IBEC and the IBEC's Statutes.

During the visit, the meetings were held in the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Poland and the Polish-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During the meeting with Mr. Vladimir Nefedov, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Poland, the parties expressed their willingness and readiness to promote the development of multilateral cooperation with business representatives of Russia and Poland - the IBEC’s member countries.

In course of negotiations with representatives of the Polish-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mrs. Hanna Velgozh, Head of the Chamber, emphasized that the Polish businessmen intend to strengthen business relations at the level of small and medium business of two countries, and the Chamber intends to promote actively the Bank’s efforts in this direction. The parties also discussed current Polish-Russian projects and agreed to implement new cooperation directions.
